Improved professionalism. What does that mean to you and what does that mean to real estate?
The Canadian Real Estate Association, in partnership with the British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA), the Association of Saskatchewan REALTORS® (ASR), the Saskatoon Region Association of REALTORS® (SRAR) and the Alberta Real Estate Association (AREA) have listened to REALTORS® from across Canada and there is a clear message being heard. That message is about professionalism!
What does professionalism mean and how can we do a better job at promoting the higher standard REALTORS® want to be held to. As you will see in the REALTOR® Standards of Excellence Guide, seven standards have been developed to help explain what being a professional is all about.
The REALTOR® Standards of Excellence pilot program was recently rolled out beginning with BCREA, ASR, SRAR and AREA with a goal to extend the program to other Boards and Associations in 2017, pending feedback from the partners and CREA. Before that happens, BCREA, ASR, SRAR and AREA are looking for REALTORS® who are at the top of their class, REALTORS® who display high levels of professional excellence and who are interested in being ambassadors of professional excellence.
Please follow the hashtag #REALTORExcellence where you’ll find frequent updates, messages and videos about REALTOR® professionalism, the National Standards of Excellence Guide and ways you can contribute to help your fellow REALTOR®.
As this is a pilot program, right now the contents are available only in English.
Together, we see the opportunity, and we have the will and the drive to succeed.
