On February 8, 2017, Statistics Canada published its first 2016 Census of Population release on Population and dwelling counts just months before Canada’s 150 birthday. This release provides information on population and dwelling counts for Canada, the provinces and territories, for municipalities and for many other levels of geography down to the block level.
