OREA Town Hall on Mandatory Designated Representation – Save the Date

REBBA

Dear Member,

You may have seen a lot of information from OREA recently about the government’s review of the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act, 2002 (REBBA), particularly on mandatory designated representation (MDR).

You can read OREA’s submission on MDR here.

I know there have been a lot of questions about OREA’s submission which is why President Ettore Cardarelli and myself will be holding a Town Hall on Monday, September 18th from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. You can join by clicking on this link.

The government only gave OREA just over 30 days to consult, research and draft a response. OREA’s REBBA Review Task Force brought forward a solution which supported MDR, provided it included the ability to enter into transactional representation.

We understand we are dealing with complex issues and we want to clearly explain what exactly OREA has proposed on MDR and how it differs from the government’s proposal and RECO’s position.

This is your chance to speak directly with President Ettore and I, to ask us questions and learn more about MDR.

I hope you can join us on September 18th from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM!

Yours sincerely,

John Meehan,
REBBA Review Task Force
