CREA’s New National Ad Campaign Launches on a Smaller Scale

2020 TV Ads
The Canadian Real Estate Association’s (CREA) National Ad Campaign launches today with two new television commercials entitled “Dollhouse” and “Doghouse”.

Usually at this time of year you’d see our ads across all platforms in Canada, from television, online to radio and once we were even at the movies. However, everything has changed in the past two weeks and we had to adjust our advertising deployment accordingly.

With COVID-19 impacting nearly all aspects of our daily lives, CREA wants to be sure we are doing what we can to guarantee we arrive on the other side of this in the best position possible. The current situation is one that none of us can predict, however, each brand must strike a balance between staying present and remaining aware of the current mindset of consumers. This campaign highlights how REALTORS® are always there for their clients when they are ready to buy or sell.

The ad highlights how being a REALTOR® takes a special set of skills. It takes dedication, a thirst for knowledge, and the ability to negotiate like no one’s business. But more importantly, it’s as if REALTORS® were born to help people find their dream home.

The ads have an overall positive tone and this campaign will give Canadian home buyers and sellers more reason to value a REALTOR® by showcasing how they are obsessed with satisfying their clients.

The decision was made to launch the ad on a smaller scale this spring and to defer most of the ad spend to the fall. We believe this adjustment will make sure the REALTOR® brand remains present but allows for a renewed impact later in the year.

Developed by the award-winning ad agency, Union, and in partnership with CREA’s National Ad Campaign Committee, the new ads can be viewed and downloaded on REALTOR Link®. The 2020 commercial may be used on websites for boards, associations and members for a period of one year ending March 22, 2021. The 2019 commercial has been removed and links are inactive.

The ads are also available for viewing on CREA’s YouTube channel.

2020 Radio Ads
CREA is pleased to announce the continuation of its popular and successful Radio Co-op Advertising Program for 2020. The radio commercials are now available and posted on REALTOR Link®. Boards wishing to join the program can find the forms here.

2020 Digital Ads
The National Ad Campaign integrates the use of digital media as part of its overall mix. Boards, associations and members can download the banner ads to help broaden exposure for the campaign. CREA’s online campaign will showcase our 30-second TV commercial, as well as our 8-second and 15-second digital ads.
