Highlight Live Stream Open Houses on REALTOR.ca Listings

REALTOR.ca is making it easier to show off listings by adding a live stream open house feature.

We know the COVID-19 pandemic is severely impacting the way REALTORS^® normally do business. That’s why we’re making it a priority to adapt with the everchanging guidelines and rules set by government officials and healthcare professionals, so REALTORS^® have the tools they need.

As virtual showcases and livestreaming open houses on social media become the new normal replacing real-life open houses, we encourage REALTORS^® to take advantage of this new feature that can be prominently displayed on their REALTOR.ca listings.

Attached is a quick start guide on how members can take advantage of this feature.

In addition, we are working with boards and associations and MLS^® System providers to make this feature available through dataload. Details for this have already been shared with board technical staff and the Technical Peer Group.

REALTOR.ca supports all livestreaming platforms, including the most popular choices such as Facebook Live and Instagram Live, so if REALTORS^® are planning to host a virtual open house, rest assured their event will be prominently displayed on their listing. All they need to do is visit REALTOR.ca/golive and enter the details for each of their live streams on each of their listings. Visitors will be able to add the event to their calendar and can then scroll through all available live streams for this listing.

Through technologies like live streaming, virtual tours, 3D photography and video, REALTOR.ca continues to add ways for REALTORS^® to showcase their listing, helping to maximize their reach.
