Brampton, ON (Sept 4, 2020) – As the Region of Peel continues to support efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, our regional offices and services will remain closed until further notice. Over the Labour Day Holiday, Peel Public Health encourages the residents of Peel to keep physical distance while outside, making sure to avoid crowds. Residents should stay close to home when exercising and continue to limit excursions to essential reasons.
While our main offices are closed, the Region is providing a limited number of services by telephone and on an emergency needs basis. These services will be affected by the Labour Day Holiday on Monday, Sept 7. Services are provided over the phone and by appointment only. If you have documents that you would like to drop off rather than mail or email, please use drop boxes located outside the entrances of our Regional buildings.

Residents are advised that there will be no waste collection on Monday, Sept 7 due to the holiday. Waste collection will be one day later that week. Check your collection calendar to find your pickup day or sign up to receive free waste collection reminders.
All Community Recycling Centres will be closed on Monday, Sept 7 and will reopen on Tuesday, Sept 8.
The Peel Works Needle Exchange Program (PWNEP) Mobile Van will be closed on Monday, Sept 7 and reopen Tuesday, Sept 8. Normal van service will operate on Saturday, Sept 5. Please note that the Mobile Van does not operate on Sunday. Harm reduction supplies are also available during regular operating hours at the Fairview clinic.
Healthy Sexuality Fairview Clinic services (testing, treatments, doctor assessments, birth control) are by appointment only. For vaccine pick-up and harm reduction, no appointments are needed.
TransHelp – Specific trips for Monday, Sept 7 (Labour Day) and Tuesday, Sept 8 must be booked by 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept 6.
Flexible trips will not be accommodated after 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept 6 or any time of day on Monday, Sept 7.
On Monday, Sept 7 (Labour Day):
– TransHelp will operate from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.
– The TransHelp office will be closed, with regular hours resuming on Tuesday, Sept 8.
The Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) is temporarily closed due to COVID-19. However, families can participate virtually in over 100+ PAMA@Home online activities and tour four fantastic virtual exhibitions including the newest project Art Voice: Expressions of Youth in Peel.
