Government Extends CEBA, CERB, and Announces Replacement Benefits |
At the end of August, the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) was extended by four weeks to September 27, before it will transition people who are still claiming CERB to a revamped Employment Insurance (EI) program, or one of three new recovery benefits: the Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB), the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB) and the Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit (CRCB). Learn more about these programs. More recently, the federal government has extended the Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) until October 31, 2020. More information is expected in the coming days and we are optimistic that the program will be expanded to include businesses operating out of a personal bank account. Click here for more details. |
